The Northshore Healthcare Alliance (NHA) is an employer-driven initiative dedicated to strengthening the healthcare industry in St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes. Our goal is to address critical workforce shortage issues by developing systems for the recruitment, retention and training of skilled healthcare workers. Through action-oriented solutions, the NHA intends to create and implement a sustainable strategy for rebuilding and advancing this essential industry.

SLU and NHA implements grant to train and enhance the skills of these incumbent healthcare workers

The Southeastern Louisiana University Small Business Center and the Northshore Healthcare Alliance (NHA) collaborated to form a regional partnership and implemented a US Department of Labor (DOL) Employment Training Act (ETA) grant for the healthcare sector. The grant targeted healthcare workers in the Florida parishes; Livingston, St Helena, St Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes, who are being transformed by technology and innovation requiring new skill sets for workers.
